Mexico’s Interjet’s (4O) first Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) has arrived in Venice, Italy at the Sukhoi Superjet International (SJI) base to be customized for service in Mexico. SJI will acquire EASA’s Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to install the interior developed by Italian designer Pininfarina. The aircraft will be delivered to 4O in March 2013.
In November, the first SSJ100 full flight simulator will be installed at the SJI training center; 4O pilots will begin training in January.
4O, which is the first SSJ100 customer in the Western market, has 20 of the type on order (ATW Daily News, July 10).
