Virgin America launched daily service to Toronto Pearson from San Francisco and Los Angeles, its first international destination, which it revealed plans for in March (ATW Daily News, March 19). It also announced its intent to launch flights from SFO to San Jose and Cancun and from LAX to CUN and has filed with the US Dept. of Transportation for authority to begin the routes this winter.
LAN Airlines yesterday launched four-times-weekly Lima-San Francisco service aboard a 767-300.
