LATAM to expand capital $1 billion

LATAM Airline Group, the merger of Chile’s LAN Airlines and Brazil’s TAM Airlines, will meet June 11 to discuss expanding its capital $1 billion through the issuance of ordinary shares.
Funds will be used to finance fleet expansion, strength financial position and to back up compensation plans required by Chilean corporate law. Shareholders are to decide at this meeting on the price, mechanism, timing and procedures of this financial operation.
