www.dgac.gob.mx**********Here you have the fleets and numbers which once again speak for itself! Many things and conclusions can be taken out from this! For MX, we have them leading again and it seems it will keep this way for a little longer time despite its entire current “crisis” the airline is going thru. They have a good balance in terms of passengers carried, domestic and international, more over, MX has also increased dramatically its domestic share, with mainline routes as well as with Click along they’ve done a terrific job. Seems this year FINALLY, we are again reaching the 10M mark from a Mexican carrier.

As for AM, well I have too many things to say about them, but I’ll keep several things to myself too, I just want to say that they have a big fleet, too many employees, too many routes within Mexico, and many more seats offered than anyone else… I’m sure load factors are in the 60/65s which it isn’t good for an airline of its size.

Aviacsa’s passengers have shrunk dramatically (and still Viva to enter start operations in its hub), last year 6A flew 3.5M this year they will be very short from their record year, I barely see them reaching the 3M mark pax this year.Interjet in only its first year of operations will reach something like 1.2M pax!! Azteca for the first time, after 5 years in the market will probably reach the 1M mark and end in something near to 1.1M pax.I’m just a little worried of what might be happening to Aviacsa, AeroMar, AeroCalifornia and Azteca which all are in big trouble and this last one in a little more difficult situation to worry about. Airlines mentioned can possibly be selling tickets and doing “alright” but many pilots are changing to the new Mexican start-up’s, with this, all expansions projects can be thrown easily to the waste basket.

This also proof’s many pilots weren’t happy and felt no real growth or progress in their airlines. Some other carriers are a little better but some other pilots that change to another airline are regretting from having done it.It will be a record year for MAGNICHARTERS as they too will reach a new mark!!! Volaris it’s just unstoppable, only 6 A319s and they’re doing miracles!!!

By its 1st anniversary most probably they will be in the 1M mark, its load factors I’m sure are quite HIGH, from Jan to Jun 06, 8 A319s will be arriving! Some have been delayed due to pilots shortage. Avolar is a little slow but it has to do with the fact that they’ve slowly increased its fleet, but once they get the 12 B737s by Jan 2006 they will start having a better numbers. At least, they were second out of TIJ last month of September with 25.000 pax vs AM which is first with only 29.000 thousand (its share keep shrinking, let see if they are able to keep it now JR is back and with the new NRT flight).
