Lufthansa
announced it needs to add 500 cabin crew members for 2014 as the German
carrier adds larger aircraft. Additional crew is needed especially for
its Frankfurt-based Boeing 747-8Is and its Munich-based A340-600s as the airline replaces its A340-300s.
Lufthansa said employees get a completely new two-year contract, based on seasonal demand. The crew will work for six months and receive payment for 12 months, based on a 50% part-time salary model.
The contract could be extended to four years.
